What Is a Pre-Gen Hero or Villain Character in Eventide of Albion?
A Pre-Generated Hero or Villain Character in Eventide of Albion is a fully built character created by the Storyteller team for use during live events. These characters are deeply woven into the setting’s ongoing storylines and are often inspired by, or directly drawn from, historical figures reimagined as supernatural Prodigals—such as a 600-year-old Daughter of Cacophony, a corrupted Black Spiral Dancer, or a forgotten Tudor-era war mage.
Each Pre-Gen comes with double the normal starting XP allotted to new characters, granting them significant power, lore, and influence. These characters are designed to make an immediate impact on the story, often driving major conflicts, alliances, and revelations.
However, a word of caution: Pre-Gens frequently exist in high-stakes scenarios. Whether as heroes or antagonists, they may not survive the events of PvP-heavy live play. If they do endure, the player has the option to continue portraying that character in future Eventide of Albion sessions.
Playable supernatural types vary based on the story needs of the event and can include Kindred, Shifters, Changelings, Mages, Wraiths, and more. Pre-Gens offer a powerful and immersive way to experience the heart of the story, though not always for long.
