What is Eventide of Albion?

Eventide of Albion is a live-action roleplay (LARP) chronicle set in an alternate Tudor-era England, where vampires, werewolves, fae, and hunters shape the course of history.

What year is the game currently set in?

The main campaign is currently set in 1553 A.D., with live games often focused on key events in London and abroad. In 2026, during ConNooga, the year will change to the Spring of 1554.

What supernatural types can I play?

You may play Kindred (Vampires), Garou/Fera (Werewolves and other Shifters), Changelings (Fae), or Hunters. Mages and Wraiths may appear as NPCs or special story characters.

What game system does this LARP use?

We use By Night Studios (BNS) Mind’s Eye Theatre (MET) rules, with custom modifications for setting flavor, alternate history, and the integrated supernatural cosmology of the World of Darkness.

Where do I make a character?

Most character creation happens during one of our events. However, you may come tot he Discord server and speak with one of the Storyteller's or Narrator's to start the process to create your character. All characters must have final approval by the Master Storyteller, LoreMaster.

Can I play a historical figure?

Yes, but only with Storyteller approval. Some historical figures already appear as NPCs or PCs—please check with staff before building.

What is the setting’s alternate history?

King Edward VI lives, is a Silver Fang Garou, and is married to Amiliana Romanovna of Russia. Elizabeth Tudor is an Unseelie Sidhe. The Holy Roman Empire is at war with England and Russia, and the supernatural influences behind major events are ever-present.

Are there live games, or is it all online?

Both! We host live LARP events at major conventions like ConNooga, Momocon, and DragonCon while maintaining an active Discord-based chronicle throughout the year.

How do downtime actions work?

Players may submit downtime actions between events via our Discord server using the Ticket System. Downtimes allow crafting, politics, investigation, and supernatural travel. Special bonuses may apply depending on story arcs.

Can I join mid-chronicle?

Absolutely. We welcome new players at any time and offer pre-generated characters or help you create a custom one that fits the current storylines.

Are there XP limits or caps?

Yes. We follow a modified XP progression with event-based bonuses. Players can buy XP upgrades on our Shop to a max of 200 XP a year for a total of $100. Experience can still be earned above that through various in-game and community events, as well as becoming a monthly subscriber.

What are the PvP rules like?

PvP (Player vs. Player) is allowed with consent-based expectations. All PvP actions are logged, moderated by storytellers, and resolved using standard BNS combat and challenge mechanics.

Can I play a Baali or other rare bloodline?

Rare lineages like Baali, Kiasyd, or Hakken require storyteller approval and often come with story hooks or political drawbacks. Reach out to discuss concept approval.

Do you offer character sheets or printed props at live games?

Yes. We provide printed character sheets, and digital sheets, magic item cards, prop handouts, and immersive in-game materials at all live events.

What costuming is required?

Costumes are not required to play in our events. But, we encourage historical and supernatural-themed costumes fitting the Tudor era and your supernatural type. Simple costuming is welcome, and prizes are awarded for cosplay excellence.

How are magic items handled?

Magic items, relics, and artifacts are handled via item cards with mechanics and lore. These are earned through quests, downtime projects, or in-game events.

Is this game beginner-friendly?

Yes. We offer tutorial sessions, pre-gen characters, and mentoring for new players new to the BNS/MET system.

What kind of roleplay is emphasized?

We focus on political intrigue, supernatural conflict, alternate history storytelling, exploration, and immersive narrative choices across all factions.

Are there faction-based storylines?

Yes. Factions include the Camarilla, Garou Septs, Fae Courts, Hunter Orders, and secret societies, each with power struggles and alliances shaped by player actions.

Do you allow crossover play between supernatural types?

Yes. Cross-faction RP is encouraged. Rules are balanced to allow interaction between Kindred, Garou, Changelings, and Hunters in a fair and thematic manner.

What is “True Faith” in this chronicle?

We use a modified True Faith system inspired by both Garou and Changeling lore, allowing spiritual and cultural faith to manifest as supernatural resilience or power.

What’s the Moody Badger Tavern?

It’s a magical, time-lost tavern protected by ancient enchantments and a Balefire Spirit named Hesta. It’s the central neutral ground in the chronicle and often serves as a hub between worlds and events.

How do I earn extra XP?

You may earn bonus XP by:

Submitting Downtime Actions
Roleplaying on Discord
Attending Live Events
Completing story or quest tasks
Winning costume or RP awards

Experience spending must be done through the Ticket System in the Discord.
