Live Events

Live Events of Eventide of Albion – A MET LARP Experience in the Southeast US

When Eventide of Albion hosts a live event at conventions across the Southeast United States—such as DragonCon, Momocon, or ConNooga—it becomes more than just a game: it transforms into a living, breathing tapestry of supernatural intrigue, historical immersion, and player-driven storytelling. These live-action events are part of the larger Eventide of Albion Chronicle, a Mind’s Eye Theatre (MET) World of Darkness LARP set during the turbulent and mystic Tudor Era (circa 1550 A.D.), blending real-world history with supernatural drama.

At these events, players step into the roles of Vampires, Werewolves, Changelings, Mages, and other beings of myth—known collectively as “Prodigals”—caught in the crosscurrents of mortal politics, arcane power struggles, ancient prophecies, and secret wars. Each live event typically takes place over several hours, unfolding in rich, themed settings such as candle-lit halls, medieval taverns, or courtly chambers arranged within convention spaces.

What sets Eventide of Albion apart is its unique fusion of:

  • Immersive Costuming & Props: Players arrive in elaborate historical and fantasy-inspired costumes, many styled after the Tudor period, with handmade accessories and character tokens that enhance roleplay. From enchanted scrolls to magical relic cards, physical props are used to create tangible effects and interactions.

  • Interactive Quests & Storylines: Each event features interactive quests, political machinations, secret missions, and live diplomatic negotiations. Players may be tasked with solving riddles, seeking out ancient spirits, decoding prophecies, or negotiating uneasy truces between rival supernatural factions.

  • Real-World Magic Items & Clues: Throughout the convention space, clues and items are hidden as part of scavenger hunts or "Escape the Tavern"-style encounters. These encourage exploration, interaction with staff and NPCs, and clever problem-solving.

  • Cross-Faction Social Play: From royal banquets hosted by Kindred Princes to moots of Garou packs, or Unseelie court masquerades among Changelings, each event offers space for multiple supernatural societies to interact, scheme, and occasionally unite against greater threats.

  • Charity & Community Focus: Each live event supports a chosen annual charity—such as the Boys and Girls Club—through raffles, auctions, or optional donations, blending fantasy with real-world goodwill.

All live events connect directly to the 365-day-a-year chronicle run via the official Discord server, ensuring your character’s actions at the convention ripple across the wider world of Eventide of Albion.

  • Can I join mid-chronicle?
Absolutely. We welcome new players at any time and offer pre-generated characters or help you create a custom one that fits the current storylines. You can join our Discord server to get started.
  • What is Eventide of Albion?
Eventide of Albion is a live-action roleplay (LARP) chronicle set in an alternate Tudor-era England, where vampires, werewolves, fae, and hunters shape the course of history. It uses the By Night Studios (BNS) Mind’s Eye Theatre rules, with customized mechanics for historical and supernatural immersion. We also host live events at conventions like Momocon and DragonCon.
  • How do downtime actions work?
Players may submit downtime actions between events via our Discord server. Downtimes allow crafting, politics, investigation, and supernatural travel. Special bonuses may apply depending on story arcs. Detailed instructions can be found on our Discord server.
  • What supernatural types can I play?
You may play Kindred (Vampires), Garou/Fera (Werewolves and other Shifters), Changelings (Fae), or Hunters. Mages and Wraiths may appear as NPCs or special story characters. Please refer to our House Rules for more details.
  • What is the setting’s alternate history?
King Edward VI lives, is a Silver Fang Garou, and is married to Amiliana Romanovna of Russia. Elizabeth Tudor is an Unseelie Sidhe. The Holy Roman Empire is at war with England and Russia, and the supernatural influences behind major events are ever-present. More details can be found in our game setting documentation.
  • Can I play a historical figure?
Yes, but only with Storyteller approval. Some historical figures already appear as NPCs or PCs—please check with staff before building.
  • Where do I make a character?
Visit our Discord Server via the link on our homepage. There, you can work with staff to create or adopt a character before live events.
  • Are there live games, or is it all online?
Both! We host live LARP events at major conventions like DragonCon and Momocon, and maintain an active Discord-based chronicle throughout the year.
  • What year is the game currently set in?
The main campaign is currently set in 1550–1553 A.D., with live games often focused on key events in London and abroad.
  • What game system does this LARP use?
We use By Night Studios: Mind’s Eye Theatre (BNS) rules, with custom modifications for setting flavor, alternate history, and the integrated supernatural cosmology of the World of Darkness.
